Summer brings sunshine, fun, and long days outdoors, but it also means rising temps that can take a toll on your health if you’re not careful.
Whether you're hitting the beach, running errands, or just relaxing outside, staying hydrated and cool should be a top priority. Try these easy tips to keep your body safe and refreshed all season long:
Drink water regularly
Don’t wait until you’re thirsty. Aim for 6–8 glasses per day, or more if you're active.
Avoid sugary and caffeinated drinks
These can dehydrate you faster.
Wear lightweight, breathable clothing
Light-colored fabrics reflect sunlight and help regulate body temperature.
Take breaks in the shade or indoors
Especially during peak sun hours (10 AM–4 PM).
Eat hydrating foods
Watermelon, cucumbers, oranges, and lettuce are great options.
Listen to your body
Dizziness, nausea, or headache can be early signs of overheating.
Be smart about the heat, and your summer will stay fun, safe, and healthy!
